So here we have Ms. Camilla Belle of Jonas-bro-dating fame wearing one of Alexander McQueen’s latest confections. We must give the gal props for being brave enough to wear McQueen off the runway; that takes balls, and for that, we salute you… oh and for your fab shoes, they may be better than the cra cra shoes McQueen sent down the runway. That being said, we truly don’t think this is how Mr. McQueen pictured the dress to be worn. The perfect hair, the diamond earring and bracelet set, and the dainty metallic clutch take away from the dramatic, artistic quality of this amazing frock. It’s like Camilla is trying to make this dress look more like Marchesa and less like McQueen, which is like trying to make a Monet a Picasso: they just are not meant to be presented in the same way. This look as a whole is far too girly and frou frou; we think someone rough, artsy and a little dirty needs to rock this gown. So to all the Chloe Sevigny’s and downtown celeb hipsters out there, we dare you to try this McQueen look and make it work!
